Lieutenant Valencia I. Saadat was born and raised in the City of Oceanside. She has been an Oceanside Police Officer since September 1991. Prior to that she held the position of Public Service Officer from 1990- 1991.

Lieutenant Saadat is currently assigned to the Investigations Division as the Special Enforcement Section Lieutenant. She is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the Vice/Narcotics and Gang Units.

During her career, she has held a variety of assignments including patrol Sergeant, General Investigations Sergeant, Patrol Corporal, Field Training Officer, Crimes of Violence Detective, Property Crimes Detective, and Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NETwork) Officer.

Lieutenant Saadat is a graduate of Oceanside High School, holds an Associate of Arts Degree from MiraCosta College, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Lieutenant Saadat is also a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and the Regional Management Academy.
