HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

Oceanside, CA — On June 7, 2025, at approximately 11:16 a.m., officers from the Oceanside Police Department responded to a radio call reporting a subject with an apparent gunshot wound near the 400 block of Country Club Lane. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male in a nearby canyon. Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. The decedent’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit responded and have assumed responsibility for the investigation. This remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation.
