Lieutenant Bryan Campagna was born in Los Angeles, California, and is a veteran of the United States Army, having obtained the rank of Sergeant.  After his military service, Lieutenant Campagna was hired by the City of Oceanside and sworn in as a Police Officer in January 2006.  While working at OPD, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from California Baptist University.

Over the course of his career with the Oceanside Police Department, Lieutenant Campagna has held assignments in the Gang Suppression Unit, the Special Enforcement Section as a Gang Detective, and a Detective in the Crimes of Violence Unit.

Lieutenant Campagna served on the SWAT team for over 16 years, and has been a Firearms Instructor for 13 years. Prior to his current rank, Lieutenant Campagna was a SWAT team leader and Detective Sergeant for the Crimes of Violence Unit.

Lieutenant Campagna is committed to engaging with the community through events and outreach programs.  He believes it’s crucial for law enforcement officials to foster strong relationships with the communities they serve, as it helps build trust, improve communication, and ultimately enhance public safety.
