Forensic and Evidence Manager Marissa McLain was born in New York and was primarily raised in Vermont and Oceanside California. She attended the State University of New York at Oneonta, earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sociology and Child and Family Studies. She continued her education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from National University and a Master’s Certificate of Completion in Forensic Science from National University.  Marissa began her public safety career in 1998 with the Oceanside Police Department and has served in various roles at the department until her promotion to Manager in 2024.  Marissa oversees the Forensic Unit as well as the Evidence and Property Unit.
